Share or copy a private link for each name and send it however you like: text, WhatsApp, email.
Open it and see who you got
Each person opens their own link and taps to reveal the name they drew. Nobody else's match is on it.
The names stay with you
No accounts and no email addresses. The draw runs in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to Wishes or saved anywhere.
Each person's match is written into their own link, after the # sign. Browsers keep that part of a link to themselves, so the names go only where you send them.
Questions, answered
How does this Secret Santa generator work?
Type everyone's names, keep couples apart and add a budget and a date if you like, and tap Draw names. You get one private link per person to send them. Opening a link shows who that person is buying for, along with the budget and date.
Can I stop couples from drawing each other?
Yes. Once the names are in, pick two people under Keep apart, like partners or siblings, and add as many pairs as you need. Neither person in a pair will draw the other. If the pairs leave someone with no one to draw, the page tells you who, so you can remove a pair. The pairs are never put in anyone's link.
Do I need to sign up or collect email addresses?
No. There is no account and no email address to enter, and the generator sends no emails. You send each link yourself, in whatever chat or app your group already uses.
Can the organizer see who drew who?
Not on this page. After the draw you see one link per person, labeled with their name, and never the matches, so the organizer can take part too. Just open only your own link.
Can someone draw their own name?
No. The draw is random, nobody gets themselves, and everyone is drawn exactly once.
Where are the names stored?
Not with us. Names are drawn in your browser and nothing you type is sent to Wishes. Each person's match travels inside their own link, after the # sign, the part of a link browsers never send to the site they open. Close the page and the draw is gone from it.
What if I need to draw again?
Tap Start over and draw again, then send everyone their new link. Links from an earlier draw keep showing the earlier match.
How does my Secret Santa know what I want?
Make a free wishlist on Wishes and share its link with your group. Your Santa can open it without an account and pick something you actually want.
